What to include in an inquiry so a chemist can give you a useful answer on the first call.
What information should I include in a formulation inquiry?
The substrates involved, the environment the product has to survive (temperature, UV, chemical exposure, moisture), the cure or handling window your process allows, target volume, any regulatory constraints, and what you are using now and why it is not working. That is enough for a chemist to tell you whether the project is straightforward or genuinely hard.
Will you sign an NDA before I share my specifications?
Yes, and we prefer it. Tick the NDA box on the form or mention it on the call and we will put a reciprocal non-disclosure agreement in place before you disclose anything proprietary. You should not send us a formula you care about before that is signed.
Can I speak to a chemist directly instead of a salesperson?
