Chemical Formulation Services & Laboratory Testing

From basic adhesive matching to complex custom polymer formulation, we develop products optimized for shear, peel, UV limits, and severe environments.

Custom Polymer & Adhesive Formulation Services

We specialize in custom molecular polymer formulation, starting from raw chemical design to pilot batch scale. We manipulate chemical viscosity, tensile strength, elasticity, and cure triggers to match your exact substrate requirements:

  • Polymers & Adhesives: Epoxy structural systems, acrylic bounds, silane-terminated polymers, polyurethanes, and paints.
  • Waterproofing Membranes: Rapid-reaction spray polyureas, polyaspartics, waterproof caulks, sealants, and elastomeric protective membranes.

Chemical Refinement & Analytical Laboratory Testing

Do you have an existing formula that needs performance enhancement, VOC reduction, or cost optimization? Our team of chemists refines chemical compositions to bring them to tier-1 standards:

  • Performance Enhancements: Extending UV stability, improving lap-shear stress limits, adjusting flow dynamics, or increasing shelf-life profiles.
  • Analytical Lab Testing: Basic laboratory assessments, ASTM durability testing, shear strength calculations, and material compatibility matrices.

Chemical Formulation & Contract Manufacturing Services

Projects can enter at any stage. You do not have to start with a blank sheet — plenty of our work begins with a product that already exists and simply costs too much or fails too often.

New Product Development

Original formulation from a written performance target: substrate, environment, cure window, regulatory limits and target cost.

Custom formulation →

Reformulation & Cost Reduction

Lower the raw material cost of a product you already sell, or remove a restricted component, without giving up the properties customers buy it for.

Formula Matching & Reverse Engineering

Rebuild a discontinued product, or replace a supplier who raised prices, with an equivalent formula you own outright.

Analytical & ASTM Lab Testing

Lap-shear, tensile, peel, hardness, viscosity, pot life, adhesion, abrasion and accelerated weathering, with compatibility matrices across substrates.

Contract Chemical Blending

Production capacity for a formula you already own — blending, filling, QC and palletizing from pilot batches to recurring wholesale volume.

Contract manufacturing →

Private Label Manufacturing

Turnkey branded product lines with packaging sourcing, GHS labeling and SDS authoring included.

Private label programs →

Regulatory, SDS & GHS Support

Safety Data Sheet authoring and label content built to OSHA and GHS requirements so finished product is legal to ship and sell.

Scale-Up & Process Engineering

Translating a bench formulation into a repeatable manufacturing procedure that behaves the same in a 500 gallon batch as it did in a beaker.

Technical & Application Support

Direct access to the chemist who built your formula when a jobsite, a production line or a customer complaint needs an answer.

Chemical Formulation Services FAQ

What we do, what contract blending means, and how to start a project.

What chemical formulation services does NuGlue offer?
New product development, reformulation and cost reduction, formula matching and reverse engineering, analytical and ASTM laboratory testing, contract chemical blending, private label manufacturing, SDS and GHS regulatory support, and scale-up engineering. Projects can start at any of those stages — you do not have to begin at the beginning.
What is contract chemical blending?
Contract chemical blending is manufacturing a formula you already own. You supply the formulation and specification; we supply the plant, the QC, the containers and the labour. It is the usual route for companies whose product outgrew their own mixing capacity, or who want to stop tying up capital in production equipment.
Which industries do you formulate for?
OEM assembly plants and manufacturers, commercial coating and waterproofing applicators, construction and infrastructure contractors, chemical and industrial distributors, marine and transportation, and retail brands building a private label line. The common thread is a company that needs a chemical product built to a specification rather than bought from a catalog.
Do you only do testing, without formulation?
Yes. Analytical and ASTM laboratory testing can be purchased on its own — lap-shear and tensile verification, viscosity and pot life, adhesion and abrasion, accelerated weathering and substrate compatibility matrices — whether or not we formulated the material being tested.
How do I start a project?
Call (262) 888-7768 or send your specifications through the contact form. The first conversation covers what the product has to do and what it has to survive, and we will tell you honestly whether it is a formulation project, a reformulation, or something you can already buy. We sign a reciprocal NDA before you disclose anything proprietary.

One short technical call is usually enough to tell you whether this is a formulation project or something simpler.
