Custom Adhesive Formulation & Private Label Adhesives

From high-tensile structural glues to rapid-cure hot-melts and acrylics, our Kenosha, Wisconsin laboratory designs, enhances, and manufactures custom chemical bonding agents optimized for extreme commercial and OEM assembly environments.

Custom Manufacturing Adhesive Solutions

Whether you need custom epoxy formulation for an OEM plant or private label industrial adhesives for distribution, our chemists have the experience to deliver high-performance custom bonding solutions:

  • High-Tensile Epoxies: Two-part structural epoxies customized for lap-shear strength, flexible elongation, thermal thresholds (up to 300°C), and substrate interface variables (metal, concrete, composite).
  • Structural Acrylics & Cyanoacrylates: Rapid-fixturing bonding agents designed for automated factory assembly lines, offering extreme impact and peel resistance.
  • Private Label Branding & OEM: Complete brand packaging, GHS labeling, GHS SDS safety profiling, and contract wholesale production of proprietary adhesives designed to sell under your company name.

Custom Adhesive Formulation & Bespoke Adhesive Manufacturing

The right adhesive is decided by the substrate pair and the service environment, not by what is easiest to buy. We formulate across every major chemistry so the recommendation is not biased by what we happen to stock.

Structural Epoxy Adhesives

Two-part epoxy systems formulated to a lap-shear target, with control over exotherm, pot life, gap fill and amine blush resistance.

Structural Acrylics & MMA

Fast-fixturing acrylic adhesives that tolerate oily, unprepared and low surface energy substrates where epoxy struggles.

Cyanoacrylates & Instant Adhesives

Viscosity-graded instant adhesives, rubber-toughened grades and surface-insensitive versions for acidic substrates.

Polyurethane & Hot Melt Adhesives

Reactive hot melts, moisture-cure polyurethanes and construction adhesives balanced for open time and green strength.

Silane-Terminated Hybrids

Isocyanate-free, low-VOC elastic adhesives that bond and seal at once — increasingly the answer where regulation has closed off older chemistries.

Bonding Primers & Adhesion Promoters

Surface treatments for polyolefins, PTFE-adjacent plastics, galvanized metal and composites that would otherwise refuse to bond.

Custom Adhesive & Epoxy Formulation FAQ

Choosing a chemistry, bonding difficult plastics, matching a discontinued adhesive and private labeling.

What is custom adhesive formulation?
Custom adhesive formulation is the design of an adhesive around a specific bonding problem: two named substrates, a required strength, a cure window your process can live with, and an environment the joint has to survive. Instead of testing catalog products until one nearly works, the adhesive is built to the specification from the resin backbone up.
Which adhesive chemistry is right for my application?
It is driven mostly by substrate and environment. Epoxy gives the highest strength and chemical resistance on rigid, well-prepared surfaces. Structural acrylics tolerate oily or poorly prepared metal and cure fast. Polyurethanes and silane-terminated hybrids stay flexible and handle joint movement and thermal cycling. Cyanoacrylates suit small, tight-fitting parts needing instant handling strength. Tell us the substrate pair and the service conditions and we will tell you which of these to be in.
Can you formulate an adhesive for low surface energy plastics?
Yes. Polypropylene, polyethylene and similar low surface energy plastics need either a modified structural acrylic system or an adhesion promoter and primer step. This is a routine request and one of the clearest cases where a formulated adhesive outperforms anything you can buy off a shelf.
Can you match or replace an adhesive I currently buy?
Yes. Send the product data, a sample and what is wrong with it — price, lead time, a discontinued grade or a performance complaint. We rebuild an equivalent adhesive you own outright, generally correcting the original problem in the process.
Do you offer private label adhesives and epoxies?
Yes. We manufacture branded adhesive and epoxy lines for distributors and retail brands — cartridges, dual cartridges, bottles, quarts, gallons, pails and drums — with your artwork, GHS-compliant labeling and an authored SDS.
How is adhesive strength verified?
Through lap-shear, tensile, peel and impact testing against ASTM protocols, plus environmental conditioning — heat, humidity, chemical exposure and thermal cycling — so the numbers reflect the joint after it ages, not just on the day it was made.
